The semi-finals took place at 10.00am on 19th June 2025 at Dartmouth House, the home of the English-Speaking Union. They were between the University of Leicester v the University of Leicester and the University of Swansea.
The finalists, the University of Leicester and the University of Swansea went head-to-head in the grand final which was held at 6pm in the evening at the Royal Courts of Justice and was judged by Lady Justice Andrews, Mr. Justice Bryan and Paul Stanley KC. The mooters from the University of Leicester were declared the winners.
As well as having their names engraved on the Silver Mace, the winners will be awarded a prize of £1,000 each, whilst the University of Leicester will also receive a donation of £1,000. The members of the running-up team will receive £750 each. All four finalists will be offered a mini pupillage at Essex Court Chambers. The winners will also compete in the Magna Carta Moot in the Inner Temple. This completes another successful year for the Competition, now in its 54th year.
